About Us

A Legacy of Honest Auto Repair Since 1976

BC Auto Repair has been a trusted name in auto repair in Alvin, TX for nearly 50 years. The shop was originally founded in 1976 by Cecil and Carolyn Elliott—Cecil was a talented mechanic, and Carolyn managed a hotel in Houston before helping to build the business from the ground up. Together, they created a shop known for quality work, friendly service, and integrity you could count on. Through the late ‘70s and ‘80s, many mechanics came and went, but one stuck—Cecil’s son, Franz—who would become the second-generation owner and carry the torch into the next era.

Generations of Dedication

Franz Elliott took over the shop in the early ‘90s and successfully ran it with his wife Tamela until retiring in 2007. That same year, his sons, Travis and Franz Jr. (better known as Bean), stepped in to continue the family tradition. By 2012, Bean officially took over day-to-day operations while Travis moved on to manage another family business. From Cecil and Carolyn (1976–1990), to Franz and Tamela (1990–2007), and now Bean and Travis (2007–Present), BC Auto Repair has remained family-owned, community-focused, and committed to doing things the right way.

A Team That Feels Like Family

Our tight-knit crew of nine employees keeps the shop running smoothly with a shared passion for doing quality work. From seasoned pros to promising up-and-comers, every team member plays a vital role:

  • Trendon Huebner, technician and father of three, joined the team in 2020. He brings a hands-on, self-taught background and a can-do attitude.
  • Greg Lee, a longtime technician, has been with BC Auto longer than anyone—even Bean.
  • Thomas Ritter, a master tech and skilled diagnostician, came aboard in 2025 and mentors younger techs with patience and precision.
  • Riley Linderman, one of our youngest techs, is learning quickly and soaking up knowledge from the experienced crew.
  • Tim Caudle, our state inspector since 2004, is reliable, consistent, and truly cares about our customers.
  • Tamela Elliott, our bookkeeper (and Bean’s mom), still keeps the business humming with sharp eyes on the numbers.
  • David Hedderick and Jason Dahlstrom, our service advisors, are true customer advocates with years of experience and deep ties to the community.

Rooted in Family and Community

Bean grew up in the shop, hanging over fenders as a kid and learning from the best. Some of those early mentors are still close friends today. Now, as the third-generation owner, Bean continues to build on the legacy his grandparents started nearly five decades ago. When he’s not at the shop, Bean enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife Taryn and their two boys, Ian and Isaac. From riding dirt bikes and building Lego masterpieces to hiking trails and traveling as a family, life outside the shop is all about adventure, creativity, and connection.
